Veolia Water Ireland is looking for a VIE/PANGEO Junior Quantity Surveyor (M/W) in Kilkenny, Ireland
As part of the Technical or EICA division, you will be working on a number of engineering activities on a specific project or multiple projects dependent on capacity, size and complexity. Projects will include working on a variety of projects related to WasteWater Treatment Plants and Water Treatment Plants. The day to day roles will vary depending on the scope of the projects and you will be supported by a Design Manager.
Overview of the Role:
You help manage all commercial aspects of a project from design through to final account final and to aid in commercial reporting and application.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide commercial and contractual management for projects within Veolia's ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) framework
Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation â Conduct Value for money exercises and cost analysis
Monitor project costs, variations, and final accounts
Manage subcontractor procurement and payment processes
Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts
Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions
Identify and manage commercial risks
Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with framework agreements and contractual obligations â Support the development of target costs
Maintain accurate cost records and documentation
Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, supplemented by Engineering training (Proven experience in utilities or infrastructure projects)
Solid expertise in FIDIC contracts
Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
