Description
The VIE Materials Engineer is responsible for evaluating new materials, processes, suppliers, and end applications. This person applies technical knowledge to solve problems related with materials development, characterization, processing, and manufacturing for diverse projects in the company. The overarching goals of the projects are to improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of materials used in mechanical tools for the exploration and production of energy.
The VIE will be an integral part of the Materials Discipline in Enabling Technology Development (ETD) Center of SLB. The VIE will have opportunities to contribute to multidisciplinary collaborations with strong business impact. The VIE is expected to a fast learner, active collaborator, creative innovator, and strong technical communicator.
