As part of this strategic growth, we are currently looking for Telecom Engineers to support a large scale RF upgrade project in NYC
Qualifications:
• Successfully completed a bachelor or master’s degree in telecommunications, IT, or engineering (required)
• Previous internship experience within IT, telecommunications, or transportation fields (required)
• Knowledge of mission critical communication systems such as P25 or TETRA (preferred)
Activities:
• Perform day-to-day monitoring of the backhaul network
• Provide helpdesk support
• Create tickets within JIRA platform
• Provide on-site testing and troubleshooting of handheld radio devices, and network.
• Monitor the system with internal proprietary tools and SolarWinds
• Escalate issues and coordinate with engineering, project management and field teams
• Provide daily support at the Transit Authorities operation center
• Act as customer point of contact regarding any issues, requests or inquiries
