A Java Developer in the fintech/banking sector is a professional who designs, develops, and maintains applications and financial systems using Java. This role is key to creating secure, scalable, and efficient platforms for transactions, account management, payments, loans, trading, and other digital financial services.
Typical Responsibilities :
- Develop and optimize APIs and microservices for banking or payment systems.
- Implement solutions for real-time transaction processing.
- Collaborate on system integration with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and external services (e.g., payment gateways, compliance systems).
- Ensure application security (authentication, encryption, fraud prevention).
- Participate in migrating legacy systems to modern architectures (e.g., cloud banking).
- Work with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, Hibernate, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
