Hutchinson Industrial Rubber Products (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established on December 30, 1998. The site is in Suzhou Industrial Park (Weiting Town), No. 6 Linbu Street, Suzhou, Jiangsu, China, and covers approximately 20,000 mΒ². The company manufactures high-technology rubber products, various sealing systems and power transmission systems; sells its self-manufactured products and provides related services; and carries out civil aircraft component parts repair activities. Headcount: ~1,000 employees. Activities/Divisions: AVS, BDS, PSS, ADI, IMS.
As part of Hutchinson Asia Business Development team, the VIE will support the development of automotive business opportunities in China, with a strong focus on New Energy Vehicles (BEV / PHEV / REEV) and local OEMs. Which includes OEM opportunity identification; / Technical value proposition definition, / Market & competitor analysis, / Support to strategic customer engagements.
Your main missions are :
A. Automotive Market & OEM Intelligence:
β’ Monitor Chinese automotive market trends, especially:
- NEV technologies (battery, e motor, thermal management, chassis, cockpit trend, ADAS...),
- Architecture evolution (NVH, integrated systems, lightweighting),
- Regulatory and requirements.
β’ Analyse Chinese OEM strategies (BYD, Geely, Chery, Changan, SAIC, emerging NEV players: Seres, NIO, XIAOMI, XPeng, Li Autoβ¦)
β’ Benchmarking vs. key competitors (local & international suppliers)
β’ Structure market synthesis and insights for Asia BD and top management.
B. Business Development Support
β’ Support opportunity identification and pipeline structuring for automotive activities:
- AVS, FMS, PSS, ADI, BSS (multi activity exposure).
β’ Assist in:
- Target OEM mapping,
- Key RFQ / RFI tracking and push
- Opportunity qualification (value, timing, risks).
β’ Contribute to business cases, strategy notes, and management presentations.
