CIC Private Debt, a subsidiary of La Française, is the private debt arm of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale specialized in direct lending in corporate and infrastructure debt.
Established in 2003, CIC Private Debt has € 4 billion of assets under management across mezzanine, unitranche and senior secured debt, managed by 45 professionals based in Paris, London and Frankfurt.
CIC Private Debt is looking for a Junior Analyst in Frankfurt to support the development of its small and mid-cap direct lending activities in the DACH region (engl.: GSA region, i.e. Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
Main tasks of the Junior Credit Analyst :
The Junior Analyst will assist the DACH Investment Director, in cooperation with the Paris-based investment teams, on the following tasks (not exclusive):
• Deal sourcing of direct lending opportunities in the DACH market, mainly in LBO situations (acquisitions, growth financing, dividend recap, complex refinancing, …)
• Selection process based on weekly pipeline review, pre-IC presentations on preselected opportunities and final IC presentation to committee members on selected deals
• Credit research, review of due diligence materials, participation in management presentations and due diligence sessions
• Preparation of investment memos including LBO and cash flow-based lending modelling and presentation to investment committees
• Preparation of term sheets and financing offers and negotiation with other parties (equity sponsor, debt advisor, banks…)
• Monitoring of deals in the portfolio (follow up, board meetings, ...)
• Contribution to fund raising due-diligence and fund reporting
• Day-to-day administrative activities
