Context: EGM is a regulated entity, MIFID licensed as investment firm and regulated in France, Belgium, Sapin, Italy and Singapore. As such, the firm must comply with several regulatory requirements and notably with anti-money laundering and terrorism financing laws. Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering (KYC AML) department is to prevent EGM from being used, intentionally or unintentionally, by criminal elements for money laundering activities AML/KYC Department is part of the Credit department with EGM. Role: The analyst will be responsible of KYC AML due diligence and all operational aspects within KYC AML department of EGM. Main missions are the following ones: Performing KYC AML due diligence on EGM counterparties (onboarding and KYC review): • Analysis of corporate structures and client shareholding to identify the ultimate beneficiary owners (UBOs), • Analysis of the situation of customers (financial situation, activities) in order to detect discrepancy or unusual profiles, • Study of the origin of funds of the clients and the Source of wealth of UBOs • Assessment of the risk of the counterparties • Providing accurate recommendations on client-related risks Ensure compliance with procedures, internal policies, and legislation in force. Responsible for MIFID / EMIR / REMIT classification Answer to client’s questions related to our EGM own KYC package. Participation to the AML-KYC watch (regulatory, French and international sanctions) on a periodic basis • Management of alerts related to sanctions or adverse information; • Drafting of a weekly newsletter of main AML-FT topics of the week; Missions include collaboration and Coordination with a lot of stakeholders (Sales and Traders, Back Office, Legal, Credit, Finance and compliance teams) and direct interactions with external counterparties for KYC purposes. Hard skills: • Must have: Strong interested to the AML/CFT issues and regulatory framework. • Good to have: Knowledge of financial products and commodities markets are not a prerequisite but is a plus. Soft skills: • Must have: o Capacity to synthesize and explain complex issues with good writing skills. o Strong analytical skills and eye for detail, allowing to quickly elaborate key findings and make decisions. o Ability to think outside the box. o Able to face fast-paced work environment and to meet tight deadlines. o Organized and rigorous. o Team spirit collaboration. • Good to have: o Proactive approach with a high level of autonomy. o Communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, especially when explaining our product, process, and business-related question.
