POSTE ET MISSION
The VIE’s mission is to develop and strengthen the company’s presence in the Indian Ocean and African markets for its range of rice, petfood, pulses, canned food. The role combines strategic market development, commercial prospecting, distributor management, and marketing activation to accelerate growth and brand visibility in emerging territories.
The ultimate goal is to build sustainable sales partnerships, increase export turnover, and position the company as a leading rice, pulses and petfood brands in the targeted regions.
Without firm commitment and depending on mission’s outcome, we could consider proposing a full time position after successful mission.
Main Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Strategy
• Analyse markets trends, competition, and consumer behaviour in key countries (e.g. DROM COM, Indian ocean area, Southern African countries, Main France).
• Identify new business opportunities, market niches, and potential partners.
• Build a regional growth plan aligned with company strategy and export objectives.
2. Business Development
• Prospect and onboard new distributors, importers, and key retail accounts.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and promotional support with partners.
• Follow up on sales performance, orders, and forecasts to ensure revenue growth.
3. Marketing & Brand Activation
• Support distributors in implementing marketing plans (launches, promotions, trade fairs & shows).
• Adapt communication tools to local markets (POS, packaging, online visibility).
• Ensure brand consistency and visibility across all markets.
4. Operational Coordination
• Collaborate with internal teams (export logistics, marketing, R&D, finance) to ensure efficient customer service, supply chain management and operational excellence.
• Follow-up with client’s orders and ensure smooth re-order process
• Monitor regulatory requirements for rice, pulses, petfood import and labelling in each market.
• Prepare regular performance reports and market feedback for headquarters.
5. Representation & Networking
• Represent the company in trade missions, international exhibitions, and local professional events.
• Develop close relationships with key opinion leaders and sector stakeholders.

Here’s the English translation:
No accommodation will be covered by the company. The VIE will be professionally hosted by a partner and will have a dedicated workstation in an open-space office.
Coordination with headquarters:
- A 2–3 week onboarding programme in Réunion Island to meet the teams and become familiar with our processes, ambitions, and products
- Once based in Mauritius, a daily 15-minute Teams check-in and a weekly meeting (approx. 1 hour) to monitor activities, share market insights, and plan the following week (W+1)
- Remote participation in sales meetings via videoconference
