Objectives and dimensions of the VIE :
This position will support the technical service team in Bostik NA's Industrial Adhesives business unit, with focus in Durable Goods, more specifically the automotive/transportation and EV markets. This role supports core and new business development from a technical standpoint. In this phase, we will emphasize the learning of the various technologies, applications, processes, lab methods, safety, and support of internal studies within this group. This will include benchmarking studies, application testing for new products and customer support, data collection and reporting, and presenting results internally and externally.
Description of the activities :
Phase 1: Technical focus
- Provide support for product development when lab testing is needed
- Support data collection and reporting
- Support benchmarking projects
- Work with the technical service and R&D teams to test products for new applications and methods
Phase 2: customer focus
- work with customers to test products for new applications
- respond to customer requests for product recommendations
- respond to customer complaints
- support customer with trials and troubleshooting
- attend tradeshows to meet with existing potential customers with BD/Sales/Marketing
