About Tosca
We are Europe’s leading pooling company for plastic load carriers. Our service is to bring clean plastic returnable assets (pallets/foldable large containers/foldable crates) to our customers who send these assets all over Europe to their end customers. After every trip, these load carriers are being collected by us and brought to one of our European service centers where they are being prepared for a next trip. We manage hundreds of thousands of load carriers between more than 5,000 locations, mainly food related companies. Our Pan-European pooling service offers our B2B customers a sustainable and efficient solution throughout their whole supply chain.
To strengthen our Finance department at our local office in Schelle, Belgium, we are currently recruiting a motivated Business Controller. The Finance team in Schelle (located 20 min from Antwerp) is centrally managing the whole finances for the Tosca Upstream division, which is spread across 7 legal entities in Europe for a total of 130 employees. You will join the finance team, which is 10 employees strong, split across different functions (Finance Director, Finance Manager, Accounts Receivables and cash controllers, Accounts payables specialists, Accountants and a Senior business controller). You will be reporting directly to the Finance director and functionally to the Senior Business Controller.
You will be responsible for driving financial insight and strategic decision-making by ensuring the proper execution of the financial control processes across Tosca’s sales and operations activities.
In this role you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting analysis, provide data driven actionable recommendations to optimize efficiencies and profitability, while acting as a key business partner across departments.
Responsibilities
Financial Controlling, Reporting & Strategic analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly operational result ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Act as the link between accounting, operations/sales and final management reporting
Analyze variances and trends per product, customer, region, to inform strategic decisions, collectively elaborate recommendations for corrective actions and follow-up on agreed action plan.
Elaboration and follow-up of the capital investment requests (business cases), including post mortem analysis.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Drive budgeting/forecast and flash processes for revenue, aligned with key business stakeholders.
Business partnering:
Collaborate with business teams across different departments (Sales, Operations, IT) to ensure alignment and proper business reporting/steering.
Provide a data driven financial perspective in operational decisions and challenge stakeholders to deliver operational efficiencies and profitable growth.
Process and Tools Optimization:
Build, maintain and continuously improve on (semi) automated dashboard using Excel or BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
Participate in the design and re-vamp of Tosca's controlling framework (Financial and Operational) with the support of the Finance Director and Finance Manager.
Support the restructuring of Tosca’s Financial and Operational IT tools (Database / system integrations / Data quality)
