Job Description Summary
The Strategic Operations team of ALLIUS is responsible for tactical midterm product supply and pipeline planning, in addition to long-term product supply assurance that includes the strategic development and planning for capacity and demand changes throughout the ALLI-NAM network. The team is responsible for the initiation, development and completion of assurance studies, and communicating the results, risks and recommendations to the business from conception through implementation.
There will be 7-10 main collaborators across the LI Operations team at the Head Office (Houston, TX), with interactions betweeen the Strategic Operations team, the SIO Technical Resource team, and the OCC Planning team.
Job Description
This role will support the broader mission of the Strategic Operations teams through data science and strategic process improvement by helping develop solutions that will optimize the consistency and efficiency of internal information packaging to create sustainable transparency and empower thoughtful business decisions by the greater organization. The candidate will be introduced to the cryogenic gas and liquid supply chain and the critical assumptions that drive both inputs and outputs of the modeling and hydraulic simulations routinely performed by the team for mutliple products on multiple and complex pipeline distribution networks.
The role will focus on supporting a series of projects that can be replicated from supply network to network and product to product, utilizing (1) statistical analysis, (2) data linking between existing and new tools and platforms, and (3) dashboard development, to contribute the following:
- Facilitate better and more aligned understanding between up and downstream product supply chain management teams,
- Increase consistency and transparency of data interpretation throughout the larger business entity,
- Increase sustainability and decrease team workload of maintaining (a) rationalized and current inputs to and (b) translation for the business stakeholder teams of outputs from the pipeline network hydraulic modeling.
Throughout the internship, the candidate will support/lead in developing solutions for data handling, interpretation, and linking between cryogenic gas and liquid tools, while working alongside the Strategic Operations Planning team and coordinating with project investment stakeholder teams such as Planners in the national pipeline Operations Control Center and Commercial and Business Development teams.
Why Join Us?
You will be able to learn more about the dynamic business environment of a matrix organization with a multicultural team. You will contribute to process calibration, enhancing our TA value to the business. Additionally, you will play a key role in the selection process to identify our future leaders by managing the Fresh Graduate hiring process.
You will also be able to learn about cryogenic products, the interdendency between primary and byproducts when operating a supply chain where up to five (5) different products are produced by a single asset, and the criticality of rationalized dashboarding as it filters and creates a truth across an organization. You will help establish inputs to routine hydraulic modeling, improve processes that affect consistency and sustainability of product supply chain network simulations, and develop dashboards that create transparency and provide necessary translation to the broader business.
