Description
Worldwide, KATOEN NATIE combine engineering and the latest technologies to offer customized and client‑oriented logistical solutions. Our services are delivered to a wide range of international customers across sectors such as textiles, DIY, pharmaceuticals, sporting goods, aftermarket logistics and e‑commerce. The Business Unit Consumer Goods operates 181 sites in 40 countries across Europe, North America, South America and the Far East, employing over 18.000 people in operational, staff and management roles.
Our site in Beringen is entering a new strategic phase: the onboarding of a major new customer will significantly expand our operations. In the coming months, the site will double in personnel and turnover, bringing strong growth, operational challenges, and many opportunities for development. This mission is initially for 1 year but in case of successful co-operation extension for 1 year is certain.
Poste et missions
In this context of rapid expansion, we are looking for a Logistic Operations Assistant who will play a key role in supporting the successful start-up of this new customer. You will begin on the operational floor, where you will learn our 3PL logistics activities, warehouse flows and procedures. This hands‑on experience is essential: you will contribute directly to stabilizing the new operation while preparing yourself for future leadership responsibilities. As our Beringen site grows, we need people who are eager to learn, flexible and ready to take on broader responsibilities fast. You will get to know our teams, our culture, our working methods and our leadership style. Supported by experienced supervisors and the operational manager, you will be given autonomy and real responsibilities early in the process. Depending on your learning curve, skills and interests, your role will quickly expand as the site scales up.

Support new employees joining the site as part of the personnel expansion.
* Planning & KPI follow-up
Follow up daily priorities, deadlines and KPIs linked to the new customer.
Contribute to workforce planning in short and long term, taking into account sharply increasing volumes and onboarding of new staff.
* Communication & collaboration
Collaborate closely with supervisors, planners and support departments.
Participate in team and management meetings, ensuring smooth alignment during the start-up.
