Accountant Officer
Based in ALTEN Netherlands, Rotterdam
As an Accountant, you will work at our office in Capelle aan den IJssel and be part of a national Finance team operating from three locations in the Netherlands: Capelle aan den IJssel, Eindhoven, and Utrecht. Your focus will be on handling and supporting financial processes within the Dutch entities. You will be directly involved in the monthly closing process, participate in improvement projects, work closely with colleagues, and report to the Senior Accountant.
What will you do as an Accountant at ALTEN Netherlands?
As an Accountant, you are responsible for performing and managing administrative and supporting tasks across various areas within the financial administration. You enjoy being involved and looking for improvements within existing processes. In this role, you will see the entire financial administration from A to Z, leading to a wide variety of tasks. You also possess strong communication skills and can apply them effectively at all levels within the organization. Due to the international nature of our organization, proficiency in both English and Dutch is essential.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Handling various closings (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
- Processing bank transactions
- Managing and processing fixed assets
- Processing payroll information within the financial administration
- Participating in (improvement) projects
- Processing VAT returns
- Preparing and posting accruals
- Preparing and analyzing balance sheet specifications
- Managing master data (suppliers β clients β employees)
- Performing reconciliations between sub administrations
