We are looking for a Junior Industrial Controller (m/f/d) as a VIE contract for our plant in Cologne as soon as possible.

As a Junior Industrial Controller, you will actively support the preparation of the monthly financial statements for the group reporting, as well as budgets and forecasts and support various department managers in the decision-making process. In your function as a Junior Industrial Controller, you find exciting challenges, but above all the opportunity to develop yourself further and to grow with the wide range of tasks and the independent assumption of responsibilities.
YOUR TASKS:
GLOBAL:
o Monitor and report on the monthly cost trends of raw materials compared to the previous year and established financial goals
o Oversee and harmonize pricing across different manufacturing locations to ensure consistency
o Assist in managing the financial aspects of product development, including reviewing the costs associated with new products in coordination with the Industrial Finance Manager
LOCAL β COLOGNE Inventory Management:
o Maintain accurate valuation for inventory of raw materials and parts.
- Verify consistency between open purchase orders and standard price lists before receipt.
- Ensure uniform pricing for spare parts and raw materials.
- Regularly compare recent purchase prices to weighted average prices.
o Oversee inventory counting processes, both periodic cycle counts and annual full stocktakes
- Be present during stocktaking operations
- Collaborate with other locations to share best practices and experiences
- Focus initially on raw materials inventory, followed by finished goods
Finished Goods Management: Ensure accuracy in finished goods records across various systems prior to conducting inventory counts
Procurement and Cost Analysis:
Analyse discrepancies in purchase order valuations:
o Cross-reference open purchase orders with price lists before goods receipt
o After integrating data across multiple software platforms (e.g., B2WISE, V3, SAP), assess overall procurement performance
o Aid in the estimation of costs for raw materials that are yet to be received (accruals)
Support for Industrial Finance:
o Calculate costs related to subcontracted work as well as internal sub-assemblies, factoring in updates such as rates, depreciation, and material values
o Run weekly scorecard (Production Performance KPIs) in Power BI
o Perform additional duties pertinent to industrial financial management as needed
YOUR PROFILE :
o You successfully graduated from university in business administration, ideally with a focus on finance, controlling or accounting
o Strong analytical skills, as well as reliable way of working are part of your strengths
o As a team player, you would like to work in an international company
o You work independently and take over responsibility
o You are proactive and enjoy working in a dynamic corporate environment First experience in SAP is a plus
o Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, complete your profile
o Fluent in English (German would be a plus)
